PLASBIO’s ‘Smart Inject’ Selected as an Innovative Product by the Public Procurement Service of Korea
PLASBIO’s Smart Inject, an artificial intelligence–based automatic tail vein injection system,
has been designated as an Innovative Product by the Public Procurement Service (PPS) of Korea, in recognition of its technological innovation and public value.
During the designation period, Smart Inject is eligible for private contracts with national and local governments in Korea,
and can also participate in the PPS Innovative Product Pilot Purchase Program and the Rental Pilot Use Project funded by the PPS.
Designation Period: September 23, 2025 – September 22, 2028 (3 years)

After three years of initial designation, you can apply for the first extension (1 year) and the second extension (2 years), up to six years

Exemption from liability for purchase
The purchasing manager of an innovative product is not responsible for any loss caused by the purchase unless intentional or gross negligence is proven

Sole-source
contract
Private contract with the State or local government during the designation period of innovative products

Purchase
target system
A system that sets a $1-2\%$ innovative product purchase target for public and local entities and **mandates compliance by linking the achievement to annual performance evaluations

Participation in
pilot purchase project
A project where the Public Procurement Service purchases innovative products with its budget and provides them to demanding institutions, which must then disclose the results of their use.

Corporate benefits) Judgment of "success" as a result of pilot purchase after completion of pilot use

Some innovative products may be excluded pursuant to Article 24 of the Regulations on the Purchase and Operation of Innovative Products,
and may participate in the project only when matched with the institution wishing to use the test
